The Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) is proud to honor its outstanding nurses with the DAISY Awardan international recognition program that celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide to patients and families every day. Yesenia was nominated by another nurse on her unit who witnessed this act of grace and compassion and was inspired by what she saw in this seemingly simple, yet profound gesture. Each DAISY Award Honoree will be recognized at a public ceremony in her/his unit and will receive a certificate, a DAISY Award pin and a hand-carved stone sculpture entitled A Healer's Touch. We had the privilege of presenting the 2022 DAISY Team Award to the Adult Emergency Department. He stayed with us.
